What to do when you’re not surfing?
While surfing remains at the heart of life at Mahi-Mahi Surf Resort, there’s a lot more to explore beyond the lineup. From cultural excursions to outdoor adventures and wellness experiences, we offer a diverse range of activities to help you make the most of your time on Simeulue Island. Take a boat trip to remote, uninhabited islands (400k/person), cool off with an ice bath challenge, or hike to a seven-level jungle waterfall followed by a refreshing river walk. For those who enjoy a slower pace, relax in our infinity pool overlooking The Peak, snorkel clear blue lagoons just minutes from the resort, or sip a homemade cocktail by the beach bonfire under the stars.
Guests can visit the local town of Sinabang to explore traditional markets, shop for spices, or have custom clothing made from batik fabric. Our on-site facilities include a volleyball court, ping pong and pool tables, badminton, and a basic golf course — plus free scooter use to help you explore the island independently. Paddleboards and foamies are available to rent, and surf lessons can be arranged depending on guide availability (400k/hour for group, 600k for private). Don’t miss a visit to our hilltop warung café with panoramic views, or our on-site conservation centre where you can learn more about our partnership with Ecosystem Impact and their bird breeding, turtle protection, and coral reef restoration programs.
From outdoor adventure to quiet connection with nature, Mahi-Mahi offers something for every kind of traveler — with just the right mix of simplicity, discovery, and fun.
