Welcome to Mahi-Mahi Surf Resort

Nestled on the pristine shores of Simeulue Island, Mahi-Mahi Surf Resort offers an all-inclusive, eco-conscious escape for surfers and adventurers. Positioned directly in front of “The Peak”, one of Indonesia’s most consistent and uncrowded waves. You will have unparalleled access to world-class surf, lush jungles, and local culture.

Mahi-Mahi was established alongside Ecosystem Impact, a conservation foundation dedicated to supporting sustainable environmental and community initiatives across the Simeulue and Banyak Islands. This partnership allows us to help protect what makes this region so special, both above and below the water while ensuring a positive, lasting impact for local communities and future generations.

Our Story

Founded by passionate surfers and environmentalists, Mahi Mahi was created with a clear purpose: to support and help establish Turtle Conservation initiatives through Ecosystem Impact.

Today, Ecosystem Impact extends far beyond turtle conservation. The foundation is actively involved in protecting birdlife, restoring coral reefs through transplantation projects, supporting education, and creating positive long-term economic impact for the local community.

Located within our resort grounds, Ecosystem Impact’s bird breeding and rewilding project plays a vital role in protecting two endemic species now on the brink of extinction: the Simeulue Barusan Shama and the Simeulue Hill Myna.

Guests are invited to learn about and witness these conservation efforts firsthand.

Our Team

Predominantly born and raised in the neighbouring villages where Mahi-Mahi is located. Our staff work across a range of roles, including security, driving, maintenance, housekeeping, kitchen, gardening, and office operations, ensuring the resort runs smoothly each day.

In addition, we have a resident surf photographer (subject to availability), a dedicated yoga instructor, and an experienced surf guide, all here to enhance your stay and support your time in the water and beyond.
