Education →

Volunteers in the VAST program support local Simeulue English teachers in the classroom and provide an opportunity for internationalization through cultural exchange. Second, the Kids' Club at Mahi-Mahi offers tutoring and youth development activities to strengthen community ties and ensure the opportunity of a positive future for each child.

Community Plantations →

In conjunction with Mahi-Mahi, Ecosystem Impact is developing a community plantation program in which underutilized locally owned land in is refurbished, planted, and maintained by EI. In exchange for the use of the land, EI receives half of a crop yield, and buys the landowner’s half at the market rate, less 50% of EI’s cost in harvesting and processing the crop. This program stimulates economic growth by increasing income for landowners and creating local jobs, while also protecting the development primary forrest.

Conservation →

Our conservation initiatives focus on stabilizing endangered sea turtle populations, biodiversity research, coastal monitoring, and primary forest preservation on both Bangkaru and Simeulue Island. Get involved with some of our beach clean-ups!

Green Business Program →

By aiding start-up Green businesses in Indonesia, EI seeks to positively transform the way business has been done in Indonesia by developing future generations of Green entrepreneurs.
